Below is some additional information about the specialty services we offer.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.
IASTM/Scrapping
Scraping uses tissue traction to treat gliding dysfunctions of the skin, nerves and fascia, by creating space between the layers of the body. It also relieves pain while increasing range of motion, and can treat scar tissue, trigger an inflammatory healing response and reduce swelling.
Cupping
Cupping therapy has become popular over the last few years and is known for its numerous health benefits. It is a form of therapy that involves placing suction cups on your skin. Over centuries, this form of therapy has been used to relieve muscle tension by using cups made of glass, bamboo, ceramic, earthenware, or silicone. This is known as traditional cupping therapy. However, there’s now a modern type of cupping known as dynamic cupping that creates a vacuum with a rubber pump instead of fire.
Far-Infrared
Far-Infrared Therapy involves the use of Far-Infrared Rays (FIR), which are invisible waves of energy that penetrate the surface of the skin to gently elevate the body’s surface temperature and promote body systems’ functions.
POSITIONAL RELEASE THERPY
Positional release therapy, also known by its parent term strain counterstrain, is a therapeutic technique that uses a position of comfort of the body, its appendages, and its tissues to resolve somatic dysfunction.
REDLIGHT/NIR
Red light therapy (RLT) is a treatment that may help skin, muscle tissue, and other parts of your body heal. It exposes you to low levels of red or near-infrared light. Infrared light is a type of energy your eyes can’t see, but your body can feel as heat. Red light is similar to infrared, but you can see it.
Red light therapy is also called low-level laser therapy (LLLT), low-power laser therapy (LPLT), and photo biomodulation (PBM).
(FSM) Frequency Specific Microccurent
Frequency-specific microcurrent (FSM) is a technique for treating pain by using low-level electrical current. The current is delivered to certain parts of your body in an attempt to relieve pain.
A frequency is the rate at which a sound wave or electronic pulse is produced. This measurement is registered in hertz (Hz). During FSM treatment, various frequencies can be used to potentially reduce swelling (inflammation), repair tissue and reduce pain.
